About us
To Keep Gallery was founded in December 2024 by Dries De Meutter and Nand Haegeman (both born in 2004), driven by the belief that young artistic talent is too often lost in the transition between graduating and entering the professional art world. The gallery positions itself within this in-between space. To Keep Gallery is a platform where young artists can exhibit professionally for the first time, within an environment defined by care, honesty and attention. Not as a final destination, but as a starting point. The gallery aims to preserve and support talent by offering the time, space and guidance needed to grow, gain visibility and move forward within the art world. The name To Keep Gallery originates from a playful wordplay on “te koop” (for sale). Humor and lightness are given space within an often overly serious art context. At the same time, to keep speaks literally of preservation, protecting and supporting young talent before it risks being lost due to uncertainty, financial pressure or lack of opportunity.

To Keep Gallery does not adhere to the distant conventions of the traditional white cube. The gallery seeks to feel like coming home, a space where art is approachable, conversations are encouraged and everyone is welcome. From collectors and curators to those who rarely engage with art but feel drawn to it. Art does not need to be exclusive to be meaningful. The focus lies on young artists at the beginning of a promising career. To Keep Gallery works across disciplines, including painting, sculpture, installation, photography and other forms such as music. What matters is whether an artist’s vision, attitude and intent resonate with the values of the gallery. Long-term relationships are central, with continued support through follow-up exhibitions, events and ongoing communication. To Keep Gallery is a nomadic gallery based in Belgium. In collaboration with real estate partners, exhibitions take place in properties temporarily for sale. This domestic and intimate context reinforces the gallery’s vision and allows exhibitions to be organized under fair conditions for young artists. Every two months, a new exhibition is presented, each lasting one weekend only, at changing locations across Belgium.
